Love the burgers and the establishment, people very friendly. Great price for real food cheaper in some ways the fast food... New favorite burger in town.

The burgers are handmade and really good. My son had the double and was filled up. I could have got the small and been fine. The fries and onion rings were very tasty too. Fun place to eat in the downtown.

I love this place. Cheese burger is great and go ahead and add the chile. I went years not trying it because it is not green chile rather it is a jalapeño topping, but after finally getting it I was very impressed.

  • Joshua D.

Had the double day with cheese. Great simple, tasty, burger. My only mistake was not getting the green chilies.

Solid 4-stars. The patties are made by hand and the prices are reasonable. However, I must say that I give the hamburger edge to local competitor Burger Nook, which makes Day's the second best burger in Las Cruces (nothing to be ashamed of!). The green chile could be hotter, the bun could be smaller. But burgers are made to order and are juicy. The prices were higher than at Burger Nook ($1.40 for a regular hamburger vs. $0.90 at Burger Nook), although I imagine that rent is higher at this location. The orders of fries could be bigger, but fries appear to be made to order, which is a very good thing. The interior was large and pretty clean. All in all, you should try it yourself and weigh in on which is the best burger in Las Cruces - it is a close call!

I've been going to Day's since I was a kid...Great Day Double Meat and of course GREEN Chile! I miss the old location off Hadley, but I understand this location is better and times change...thank goodness their food hasn't!

  • Briana B.

Green chile is awesome! The meat tastes fresh and seasoned. The onion rings are also pretty killer. Can't wait to try the frito pie!!!

One of the best burgers either my husband or I have ever had. Fresh, cooked perfectly and super tasty. Not greasy or heavy. Love the green chili. Fries were hot and crisp. Staff was very friendly too. Would eat there every day if we could!

I heard about this place from a few people who live in Las Cruces and had to try it. Very basic, no frills Burger joint. But the burgers were very good. Fresh and Tasty. Well priced. The folks running it are friendly and accommodating. Certainly a must for burger fans. It is on my list of places to go back to when I return to LC.

Great homemade burgers topped with lettuce and chopped onions. Green chiles are added at no extra cost, if preferred. The fact that they have been in business since 1932 tells you something about the place's popularity.

  • Jerry W.

This is an excellent homemade hamburger with all the trimmings including green chiles. The staff is very polite and the burger not too greasy. They've been in business since 1932, so many generations agree with me...

  • Nick R.

The burgers at Day's currently hold the top space in my burger ranking of Las Cruces (and I have been pretty thorough). I have no idea what they do to make their burgers so tasty, but they are consistently great! I love a good burger, and when I want the best, I go here.

    (5)
  • Frank S.

Good burgers, green chile to put on them - what's not to like?

  • Nunya B.

I stopped at Day's on a whim after visiting COA's bookstore. I figured if they had been in business since the date on their sign (1936 as I recall) they had to be good. Oh how wrong I was. The first thing I noticed was how many flies were buzzing around inside the place. I figured "eh, so what" and ordered a double cheeseburger. When I got my burger I looked at the meat patties and was absolutely stunned. I'm not joking when I say this...THE CHEESE WAS THICKER THAN THE MEATPATTIES. Have you ever had a burger where the slice of American cheese was thicker than the burger patty? Thanks to Days, I have! I asked the person working the cash register (who also cooks the wafer thin patties) "is this a joke or something?". I was assured it was the standard double cheeseburger. If you want a REAL burger in Las Cruces do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. ANYWHERE else would be an improvement, even McDonalds.

  • Snackly P. Hungrypants I.

    Criminally under-seasoned beef.

  • Jon M.

This is a GREAT place for a fresh cooked to order burger, they basically throw a ball of meat on the grill when you place your order and smash it with a spatula. Its kinda weird at first but it makes you realize they are using fresh ground beef instead of the frozen fat-laden pre-formed beef patties. I only wish they had green chile instead of their chopped jalapenos. Other than that their onions rings are delicious and the service is always very friendly and accommodating. This place has also been in business since the 30's which means they must be doing something right! It's probably the best place in town for a delicious quick service hamburger. If you're craving a gourmet burger then check out St. Clair on Avenida de Mesilla for their 1/2 lb kobe burger! If you are planning on dining at Day's remember to bring cash they don't accept cards.

I am always happy to have a Day's burger. This is one of my favorite spots over the years.

When I crave a greasy and just down right tasty burger, this is what I crave. They are phenomenal hamburgers.

  • David J.

Days is phenomenal. I just recently tried it for the first time and can honestly say I'll be going back for more... and more. They taste so good right when they hit your lips. The only burgers I like better are Dick's Burgers in Seattle and the burgers at a little joint called East Side Cafe in Girard, Kansas. Way to go.

  • Wayne W.

Even though I eat at the downtown mall location occasionally, I can't say it's great. It's a perfectly good burger and I quite like their onion rings, but their burger does not scream to me "I'M INCREDIBLE!" It's a step up from Burger King, but I make better burgers at home (go to foodnetwork.com and look up Alton Brown's Burger of the Gods.)

  • Bunny J.

There's a reason why Day's has been in business since 1932! It's damn good! This place is perfect just the way it is! Delicious burgers, large fries, spectacular service... another great burger joint in LC!

  • Josh M.

Day's has great green chile cheeseburgers. Their combo burrito is also very tasty. And not too pricey!
